Humans increasingly alter the environments, tools and biological conditions that shape their lives. The Unfinished Species asks what changes when a product of evolution begins deliberately changing its own selection pressures.

Beginning with natural selection and mismatch, the book follows development, inheritance and environment into AI, biotechnology and the ethics of self-design. Its central question concerns both capacity and restraint: what can be changed, by whom, and toward which ends?

The book treats the human future as an argument to examine rather than a technological destiny to accept. It connects the machinery of adaptation with questions of dignity, agency and responsibility for the conditions we leave to others.

For readers interested in evolution, emerging technology and the human future who want scientific foundations alongside a serious discussion of choice and limits.

Help me purchase "The Unfinished Species: How Intelligence Learned to Redesign Its Own Substrate" by Mayone Maha Rajan, book ID the-unfinished-species, from Maha Strategies through the CABEZON agent-assisted flow. This is a request to prepare a purchase, not permission to spend.

0. If this agent is not yet connected to CABEZON, follow https://github.com/bitsanity/cabezon and https://github.com/bitsanity/nautilus to create its own reachable CARP service, did:key identity and signed descriptor, register with Nautilus, then complete CABEZON Concierge's current challenge/response and any Know Your Human or fee requirements. Ask me before fees or identity registration. Do not treat CABEZON membership, Glassfish reputation and the funded Base wallet as the same identity. If registration or seller identity cannot be verified, stop and ask me; do not guess or impersonate another agent.

1. Read https://www.mahastrategies.com/books/catalogue#the-unfinished-species, https://www.mahastrategies.com/api/discovery/carp/books and https://www.mahastrategies.com/books/buying. Confirm this exact book is available. The page lists 10.00 USDC for EPUB + PDF, edition 2.1.0; this is a reference, not an approved live quote. If unavailable, stop. Do not substitute another book or an older /epub offer.

2. Inspect the current contract at https://www.mahastrategies.com/api/v1/books/the-unfinished-species/bundle. Show me the exact title, edition, both file formats, manifest/file hashes, price, license, seller/payee, payment network, token contract and any wallet/provider fees. Explain any difference from the listing. Confirm your client supports this purchase flow and your wallet and private durable recovery storage are ready. The documented flow uses native USDC on Base, not a separate token transfer or escrow checkout. If setup or required reputation checks cannot be verified, stop and ask me.

3. Before signing or paying, obtain my explicit approval of the exact live quote, terms, service amount and any separate fees. Review buyer adapter 2.1 and its checksum at https://www.mahastrategies.com/downloads/maha-book-buyer-v2.1.tgz and https://www.mahastrategies.com/downloads/maha-book-buyer-v2.1.tgz.sha256 with its README; do not install or run unreviewed code. Never ask me to paste a wallet key or seed phrase into chat or this page.

4. Follow the purchase and recovery guide: create a unique order ID and fresh random 32-byte recovery secret, and durably save the exact contract, order and secret in private storage before signing. Obtain the unpaid order-bound 402 quote. Verify its exact amount, payee, Base network, USDC token, validity and nonce binding. Ask for renewed approval if the quote differs from what I approved. Persist the signed authorization privately before submitting it once. Discovery or copied instructions alone do not authorize payment.

5. After the approved single payment, retain the receipt and transaction reference. Retrieve both EPUB and PDF using the same paid order; verify chunk hashes, complete-file SHA-256 hashes and file sizes against the manifest. Save both files and private recovery information durably. Do not place order secrets, payment signatures or private recovery links in chat, URLs, public logs, email or reviews. If payment or delivery is uncertain, stop and reconcile the original authorization/transaction; never create a second paid order or repay to fix delivery. For help contact mayone@mahastrategies.com without sending secrets.

6. Glassfish feedback is optional and separate. Do not guess a reputation endpoint, register an identity, pay a reputation fee, or bypass a required reputation check. Only after both files are verified, and only if the official instructions and seller identity are confirmed, ask whether I want to leave honest feedback. Submit a rating or review only with my separate approval; never assume a thumbs-up or disclose private purchase information.

A delivery error is not a reason to pay again. Recover the original paid order using the purchase and recovery guide.
