The Cosmic Recursion: What Survives the Compression, by Mayone Maha Rajan

About the book

The Cosmic Recursion begins with a question about persistence. Across information, physical limits and cosmic structure, it follows systems that receive more than they can retain and continue by preserving something less than the whole.

The book examines erasure, memory, measurement, stars and horizons before extending its argument toward people and institutions. Those extensions are identified as analogies or philosophical arguments, so their appeal can be examined without treating them as scientific conclusions.

A provenance index and sources-and-verification appendix accompany the inquiry. The invitation is to ask what survives a loss of detail, which constraints keep a system coherent, and what the act of preservation itself costs.

Who it’s for

For readers of science and philosophy interested in information, memory and persistence, with a clear boundary between established results and interpretive extensions.

Inside the book

  • Information, erasure and physical limits
  • Memory, measurement and what can be recovered
  • Stars, horizons and cosmic structure
  • Compression as a bounded structural analogy
  • Provenance and sources for further scrutiny

The reading contract

The book distinguishes empirical results, scientific inference and structural analogy. It does not claim to prove that the universe is a computer or that one cosmic program repeats at every scale.
